'GH' Legend Suffers Injury - Soap Puts in a Temp Recast

For over 40 years, actress Leslie Charleson has been serving up a daily dose of drama on ABC’s General Hospital. But, unfortunately, the drama had to go offscreen for this beloved actress. According to several reports, Charleson suffered a leg injury when her dog became too rambunctious during a walk outside. Since General Hospital has already written in the character of Monica Quartermaine to many of the upcoming episodes, GH had to take action and implement a temporary recast. The soap has tapped Patty McCormack to play the role of Monica till Charleson gets better. Even though McCormack is best known for her Oscar nominated role in The Bad Seed, she has actually been in a soap opera. In the year of 1970, she played the role of Linda Warren on ABC's now defunct sudser The Best of Everything.

We here at Daytime Indulgence wish Leslie the best! And, we’re praying that she has a speedy recovery! We are also wishing much luck to Patty as she takes on the role of one of TV’s face docs!
