Can you believe it?! It has been almost six years since we last saw Susan Flannery light up our television screens! The electrifying actress first took the soap opera genre by storm in the year of 1966 when she debuted in the role of Dr. Laura Horton on NBC’s Days of Our Lives. Flannery would go onto spend 46 years in the daytime drama arena, win four Daytime Emmy awards, and play one of the most famous roles in television history. That role was of course Stephanie Douglas Forrester on CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful.

Daytime Indulgence recently got into contact with Flannery. And, even though she declined an interview, she did send us a quote via EMail later on. This is what Flannery had to say about how she’s doing now-a-days.

I'm doing quite well and living a terrific life. I keep in touch with everyone from The Bold and the Beautiful. And, retirement is lovely and keeping in touch with everyone is lovely as well. I spent over 40 years in this genre. I am thankful for those many decades and the amazing fanbase that I gained. But, if I am being honest here, nothing beats retirement!

Well, it seems like Flannery is having a swell time in retirement! But, we can’t help but miss her on our screens day in and day out!
