In 1987, a new daytime drama by the title of The Bold and the Beautiful premiered on CBS. Since then, viewers have experienced countless cast changes. And, viewers have also seen hundreds of characters enter the world of high fashion.

When the series debuted, there were only a total of 17 cast members. They were, Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan), John McCook (Eric Forrester), Stephen Shortridge (Dave Reed), Judith Baldwin (Beth Logan), Susan Flannery (Stephanie Forrester), Ronn Moss (Ridge Forrester), Clayton Norcross (Thorne Forrester), Nancy Sloan (Katie Logan), Ethan Wayne (Storm Logan), Bryan Genesse (Rocco Carner), Teri Ann Linn (Kristen Forrester), Joanna Johnson (Caroline Spencer Forrester), Carrie Mitchum (Donna Logan), Daniel McVicar (Clarke Garrison), Lauren Koslow (Margo Maclaine Lynley), and Jim Storm (Bill Spencer, Sr.). Throughout the series’ 30 year history, all of the original cast has left with the exception of Katherine Kelly Lang and John McCook.

After 30 years and more than 7,000 episodes, perhaps fans have wondered whatever happened to the original cast of The Bold and the Beautiful. And, they might even wonder what they look like now. Well, the wait is over!

KATHERINE KELLY LANG
After 30 years, and starring in more than 3,000 episodes, Katherine Kelly Lang is actually still with The Bold and the Beautiful today. And, the character of Brooke Logan Forrester Forrester Chambers Forrester Forrester Jones Forrester Forrester Forrester Marone Forrester Forrester Forrester Spencer, is still heating up our television screens!

JOHN McCOOK
The legendary soap opera patriarch is still going strong after 30 years! That’s right! John McCook is still kicking it as Eric Forrester on the CBS drama! It seems that John McCook can’t stay away from the juicy storylines that engulf the Forrester family on a daily basis!

STEPHEN SHORTRIDGE
Actor Stephen Shortridge played the role of Detective Dave Reed, and Brooke Logan’s first love, for one year on the hit soap! Today, Shortridge is 66 years old. In 1989, Shortridge completed his last acting project in a feature film titled Say Anything… Today, he is a published author.

JUDITH BALDWIN
Judith Baldwin, now 71, was the first out of many actresses to play Logan family matriarch, Beth. She was also the first cast member to depart the series after a couple of months in the role. Baldwin’s last credit was in 2005 on the big screen in a movie titled Every Secret Thing. Today, she is still listed as a working actress.

SUSAN FLANNERY
For over 20 years and approximately 2,923 episodes, Susan Flannery, one of the ruling queens of the daytime soap, kept viewers glued to their screens around the world as Forrester matriarch, Stephanie. In 2012, the actress decided to depart the series and retire from acting all together after a career that spanned 47 years. Today, Flannery is enjoying retirement and still speaks to many of her former soap opera co-stars. She even speaks to co-stars she once shared the screen with on NBC’s Days of Our Lives.

RONN MOSS
In 2012, fans got the soap shocker of the year when Ronn Moss revealed that he would wrap up his 25 year stint in the role of Ridge Forrester (Marone) on the CBS sudser. Since his departure, Ronn has taken some time to spice up his marriage and work on his music. But, he still makes time for his acting career. Currently, if soap fans want to get their Ronn Moss fix, they can head over to Amazon and binge on the web series The Bay where Ronn plays the role of John Blackwell!

CLAYTON NORCROSS
Since he left The Bold and the Beautiful in the year of 1989, Clayton moved on with his acting career. He even went on to book several television and film roles before garnering what is so far his final acting credit in 2012.


NANCY SLOAN
It might be hard for some B&B fans to imagine a world where Heather Tom doesn’t play the role of Katie Logan. But, believe it or not, in the original cast of the series, Katie was in fact played by Nancy Sloan. Since leaving The Bold and the Beautiful, Nancy has retired from acting. She has in fact gone on to a pretty ‘normal’ life out of the spotlight.

ETHAN WAYNE
Before there was a Will deVry, there was an Ethan Wayne in the role of the golden Logan child, Storm. Since making his last appearance as Storm in 2003, Wayne continued to rack up a laundry list of television and film credits. Ethan has stepped away from actin and has moved onto run John Wayne Enterprises and The John Wayne Cancer Foundation.

BRYAN GENESSE
The ever so sexy Bryan Genesse last appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful in its premiere year. Since leaving, Bryan continued to be a heartthrob of the 1980s. He racked up several film credits. Today, Bryan Genesse is married with two children.

TERI ANN LINN
When she left The Bold and the Beautiful, Teri did not stop acting. She acted through the rest of the 1980s, all of the 1990s, but stopped acting in the early 2000s. Today, Teri, a former model, actress, and singer, prides herself on selling the best real estate properties.

JOANNA JOHNSON
Fans were upset when the character of Caroline Spencer passed away from cancer. But, that wasn’t the last we would see of Joanna Johnson. Johnson would even return to the series as Caroline as a ghost. She would later return playing Caroline’s long-lost twin sister, Karen. Today, Joanna is a very hard working television producer. She is also a writer and a creator of TV shows themselves. She current writes and executive produces for the television series, The Fosters.

CARRIE MITCHUM
Many years after leaving the most watched soap opera in the world, former actress Carrie Mitchum discovered her passion for cooking. Today, Carrie is a top chef. Each and everyday, Mitchum pours her heart and soul into every dish that she makes. Since discovering her true passion, Carrie has decided to retire from acting.

DANIEL McVICAR
Collectively, Daniel McVicar spent a total of 14 years on the hit drama. Since he left for good in the 2000s, McVicar went on to star in some low-budget Italian movies. He also made several appearances on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson. McVicar at one point stepped behind the camera and decided to add directing to his resume.

LAUREN KOSLOW
Since leaving The Bold and the Beautiful in 1992, Koslow racked up countless credits to put on her resume. She even returned to the series for a couple of episodes in 2002. In 1996, Koslow made it big when she came in as the recast for the role of Kate Roberts on NBC’s Days of Our Lives. Today, viewers can catch her still playing spitfire Kate Roberts on NBC’s last remaining daytime soap opera.

JIM STORM
Jim Storm last appeared as a contract cast member of The Bold and the Beautiful in 1994. However, he would return to the series for guest appearances in 1997, 2000, 2003, and 2009. Jim Storm had his last Hollywood credit in the year of 2010 when he tapped back into his Dark Shadows roots for an audio mini-series.
