EXCLUSIVE: Bronson Picket Talks His 'ATWT' Days!

From 1996 to 1997, the hunky Bronson Picket portrayed one of the biggest villains in soaps! Bronson played the role of Diego Santana on CBS’ As The World Turns. The character of Diego forever changed Oakdale. He even forever changed the lives of Oakdale faves, such as, Emily Stewart (Kelley Menighan Hensley) and Lily Walsh Snyder (Martha Byrne). Daytime Indulgence recently got into contact with Mr. Picket. Here’s what he had to say about his year on one of daytime’s most popular dramas!

ON PLAYING DIEGO:
“Playing Diego was my very first experience as a professional actor. Though I had been a theatre major in college, and part of an improv troupe for a year, I didn’t yet have a proper method in place. As a result, I fumbled about quite a bit playing Diego, sometimes nailing it and other times making a disastrous mess! And, yet, it is amongst my favorite acting experiences in large part because of the people with whom I got to work with each day. Amongst them (who I got to work with was), Brooke Alexander. She is one of the kindest and most sincere souls I have ever had the unique pleasure to know. She was with me when I was about to shoot my very first scene. And, before the director could start the scene, Brooke help up a hand and asked him to wait. She then came over to me and whispered, ‘This is going to be your first time acting as a professional on camera and the last time it will be your first time. So, take it all in, remember this, and enjoy every moment.’ If I hadn’t fallen in love with her already, I would’ve dropped like a stone at that moment. (ADDED IN) Shawn Christian is still a friend to this day. He is one of the most positive human beings I have ever met. Love that guy!

IF HE WOULD JOIN AN ‘ATWT’ REBOOT:
In a heartbeat! (provided it shot in NYC)

WORKING WITH KELLEY MENIGHAN HENSLEY:
Working with (KMH) was intimidating! Here you have this stunningly beautiful woman with an extraordinary amount of outward confidence. All I could think when we first met was, “Do not disappoint this person!”
