The 44th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards are fastly approaching. In fact, they will be held on April 30th. One of the biggest awards given out during the ceremony is the Outstanding Younger Actress award. This award gives a young lady power over the genre. Sometimes it can set the course for their whole career. Acting legends like Julianne Moore have even won the award. Now, the question on everyone’s mind is, who will win next?

The past couple of months, selected people have judged the works of these powerhouse actresses. But, now, it is time for the fans to weigh in on the category! The acting reels have been released to the public. So, go ahead. Watch and enjoy. Then, we would like all of you soap fans to weigh in, in the comment section below.

OUTSTANDING YOUNGER ACTRESS REELS

Reign Edwards as Nicole Avant (B&B)
In her nomination reel, Edwards submitted scenes in which Nicole confronted Zende about making love to Sasha. Edwards second scene is composed of Nicole possibly forgiving Zende. He also proposed marriage.

Lexi Ainsworth as Kristina Davis (GH)
In her nomination reel, Ainsworth submitted scenes in which Kristina is held at gunpoint, during her mother’s wedding to Julian Jerome. In the following scene, Kristina admits that she had sex with her professor in exchange for a passing grade. Then, Lexi’s finishes off with Kristina pleading to Parker to stay with her, and asking Sonny if he can accept his gay daughter.

Hunter King as Summer Newman (Y&R)
Two time Emmy winning actress Hunter King selected scenes from when she visited her grandfather in prison. He confronts her about how he destroyed Phyllis (her mother). King ended her reel with Summer confronting Luca about his lying and deceitful ways.

Chloe Lanier as Nelle Hayes (GH)
Lanier’s scenes were mainly about Nelle’s conversation with Morgan. This ultimately lead to Morgan kissing her. These scenes are followed by Morgan’s funeral, where she comforts Michael. The reel finishes off with Nelle’s devious plan of drugging Sonny, to make it look like the two had slept together.

Alyvia Alyn Lind as Faith Newman (Y&R)
Alyvia’s second Emmy nom reel is composed of the scenes in which Faith is told by Sharon and Dylan that Sage died in a car accident. Faith also learns that Sully is not really her younger brother. Lind also decided to showcase the scenes in which Faith has to come to terms with all of Sharon’s lies.
