OUR OPINION: Who Should Take Home The Gold This Year?

Today on Our Opinion, we are deciding our picks of who should win at this year’s 44th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. After you read up on who we think should win, be sure to stop by in our comments section and give your thoughts!

Outstanding Lead Actress:
Nancy Lee Grahn as Alexis Davis (GH)
Reason: We decided to pick Nancy because she gave the performance in YEARS! Everyday, Nancy was electric and a leading lady. She delivered Emmy worthy performance after performance. Alexis covered everything from divorce to alcoholism. We think she will take home the gold.

Runner Up: Laura Wright as Carly Corinthos (GH)

Outstanding Lead Actor:
Billy Flynn as Chad DiMera (DAYS)
Reason: Billy Flynn is becoming not only DAYS’ leading man but daytime’s leading man. His acting his the best daytime has seen in years. In the story of Abigail’s ‘demise’, Flynn showed his true acting strength. I haven’t been this excited for a daytime actor in quite awhile. We hope that he wins the gold!

Runner Up: Peter Bergman as Jack Abbott (Y&R)

Outstanding Supporting Actress:
Stacy Haiduk as Patty Williams (Y&R)
Reason: No one does crazy better than Stacy! This lady managed to once again keep Y&R viewers on the edge of their seat day after day. She is truly one who deserves to win. And, she deserves more jobs in daytime. We love crazy Patty-cakes and her sidekick Mr. Kitty!

Runner Up: Kelly Sullivan as Sage Newman (Y&R)

Outstanding Supporting Actor:
John Aniston as Victor Kiriakis (DAYS)
Reason: Oh how we love Victor! Victor’s one liners are to die for, and John delivers them perfectly! John is one of the best actors on television. Plus, this is his first nomination! After all this amazing work he has done through the decades in daytime, he deserves to take home a reward!

Runner Up: Steve Burton as Dylan McAvoy (Y&R)

Outstanding Younger Actress:
Lexi Ainsworth as Kristina Davis (GH)
Reason: This past year, Ainsworth captivated GH audiences everywhere as the-college-student-struggling-with-sexuality storyline. Her and Ashley Jones’ (Parker) chemistry was just fabulous! Lexi knocked it out of the park with this story and those scenes where she came out to Sonny were just...brilliant!

Runner Up: Alyvia Alyn Lind as Faith Newman (Y&R)

Outstanding Younger Actor:
Bryan Craig as Morgan Corinthos (GH)
Reason: Bryan Craig exited ABC’s General Hospital this past year. But, before he did so, he gave a stunning and eye opening performance of what it was like for someone to struggle with bipolar. Craig moved GH fan after GH fan, all the way up to the character’s death. We hope that he wins!

Runner Up: Pierson Fode as Thomas Forrester (B&B)

The Bold and the Beautiful

Runner Up: Days of Our Lives
