HAS THE FUTURE OF 'AMC' & 'OLTL' BEEN DECIDED?

In 2011, soap fans found out tragic news. That tragic news was that ABC was pulling the plug on two daytime faves, All My Children and One Life To Live. Since both of the shows went off the air, fans have been scrambling to get the two soaps back on the air. There was one attempt by online network Prospect Park. But, the shows only lasted one season. Now, in a recent interview with an ABC Executive, fans are wondering if the fate of the two legendary soaps has already been decided.

In a recent interview, ABC Executive Nathan Varni revealed that everyone at ABC adores the shows. However, currently, the space for daytime is full over at the network. ABC currently holds Good Morning America, The Chew, The View, and of course General Hospital. Varni also revealed that ABC will probably stay put with their lineup for quite awhile.

But, Varni didn't fail to mention other platforms. He brought up possibly doing the whole CBS All Access thing with the two soaps. That would require fans paying a small payment to watch the shows. CBS currently does this with the spin off to The Good Wife. Nathan Varni continued to say that it is still possible for multiple characters to cross over to General Hospital.

Here at Daytime Indulgence, we've thought about the shows going to primetime. Perhaps they could show one or two episodes per week. But, Varni did not mention a primetime possibility. But, that does not mean it is possible. Our site continues to encourage those trying to get the shows back. And, we'd like to take a moment to simply say "thank you".

SO, WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE TWO SOAPS POSSIBLY COMING BACK? WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS FOR THE FUTURE OF THE SHOWS? TELL US ALL YOUR THOUGHTS IN THE COMMENTS BELOW!

  1. No offense, but it's doubtful that Marcy Walker will be part of that future.

  3. I have loved these shows since I was knee high to a grasshopper. These shows and characters have brought so much joy to so many lives. Please bring our beloved shows back to life. They have been sorely missed. My sister. Mother and I have used these shows as a stressful reliever as many others out there probably do. So much entertainment and so much drama. Give us back our OLTL and AMC and give us back our sanity.
